Is it always noticable or just with windows down? I had asimilar noise which I thought was coming from the brakes but it is a slow puncture/ leaky valve or something. The tyre loses pressure I had valve changed with no effect, so I just pump it up . It leaks at one place hence the constant 'click' sound as the wheel rotates. Maybe not but if you are losing pressure it might be.

thanks for the reply, but it's definately an electrical solenoid type noise and the frequency doesn't hasten as the speed increases. i thought it may be associated with uniden alarm system. this locks the doors once a certain speed is attained; about when the clicking begins. so maybe i'll disable the alarm and try it, unless there's any other clues someone may have to try for me. cheers.
