Hey!!

My father bought this 75'Celica in 1979 here in Dominican Republic for me when I grew up, but bout 7 or 10 years ago the twing carbs it have started to fail. As no one in my country couldnt deal with it, my father and I started to fix it by our selves. Buying carbs and carbs parts from other engines and car models, as Coronas, Daihatsu, etc. and replacing some parts, that way we managed to keep the engine running. We are not professional mechanics at all but, you can learn from other and from certain events that makes you a "mechanic" :D

But, 'bout 3 years ago one of the carbs just stop working and for worse we couldnt fix it anymore. This problem cause the damage of 2 pistons and the plugs (Bujia in spanish) accordind to a mechanics that my mom called. So, since then, the car have being parked in my front yard under the sun and rain.

I was out of town so Im back to my city again and it hurts see this baby dying there, so right now Im working on it to rebuild this baby and put it back again to the street.

So, I will need some advice, tips, whatever that helps, to make this happend. I'm thinking to adapt another single carb and make it work, while I manage to find the original twin carbs. I dont know right now how but I will, for that I'll need your help!!! :D

Here's my mail for any sugestion careloco9@hotmail.com

Ill keep in touch on this fabulous forum.
