Re-tool Remote In Verso

Hello,

this is a call for help.

My Yaris Verso got a Central-Lock. Already did someone re-tool a radio remote maintenance in the Yaris Verso?

If yes, which and how?

If the "Not-Verso" Yaris is comparable, did someone re-tool there?

Thanks a lot

Oliver

So your verso has central locking via a key in the lock, NOT REMOTE, you want to add just the REMOTE funtion??

If thats the case its not cheap... Im guessing you would need all the wireless doorlocking stuff plus the new keys, also a lock set, and then you would need it all fitted, set up and then the keys coded...

...not inposible but not easy... (in my eyes)

Thats the right word, "want to add a REMOTE"

Toyota Germany says, that I only need to buy a MODUL for just 224 Euros  . Look here, Page No. 04, Position No. 43.

Do you now a cheaper Way?

I was under the impression that only Toyota can do it because of the coding involved.... ??

Might be wrong though, in fact I probably am!:unsure:

Good call Danny, I'd probably be tempted to do that and you get a remote with most of the better alarms!

Hi Oliver,

May I advice you to find a Turkish guy around your area and ask him to solve this problem. Turkish people are usually very interested in autos and very creative on modification issue. To give you an idea I can say that in Turkey, adding a remote control unit to a car with built-in central locking system costs about 50 euros at most and the job takes only half a hour. Also you have the options of adding an alarm, remote engine starting, remote control of electrically operated windows. They give you two rc units that can be attached to your key like keyrings or copy your key with immobilizer code into one single unit.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

I have a Yaris Verso and have a Autowatch Cat1 alarm system fitted, I paid £180 fitted and that came with two remote fobs, although my Verso had the remote on the key that came as standard. So I have the option of dead locking with the Toyota key and then arming the alarm with the autowatch key fob.

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Regards

Palavea

I did it.

I bought a "WAECO MT350" from eBay and it works.

Here is a workshop (in german):

http://rapidshare.de/files/16327469/Einbau..._Verso.pdf.html

1) load the link

2) look down the page and click the free button

3) wait for the timer to countdown

4) enter the code

5) click the link and download it
