Could It Be The Gearbox

ive put a few posts up about a noise ive been hearing while accelereating but had no feedback from them to help, ive found something else out which might be able to help someone help me, when im stationary with the clutch just at biting point but not making me move i can rev the engine and it makes a rough sort of grinding noise maybe a sort of mini knocking but when im not in gear of if the clutch is in and i rev the car the noise isnt there, i heard this noise when accelerating b4 but came across this which might help me work out its the gearbox thats knackered, what you reckon any advise, thanks in advance

I have had something like it before, but not on our Toy.

It was the springs in the pressure plate that had worn out and was moving

under pressure when in gear.

hmmm sounds interesting no one has said that b4, ive just had new clutch would that not have sorted it, or thinkin bout it counds like a different part

i cant find this on the cd rom it says its on page cl12 but its not
