I really was struggling to find which kits fitted a 1 litre, so thought maybe some people could shed some light on this?

The car wheels hit road coming friday, and wanted the first trip to be to fit a induction kit...

I know full well it won't make sod all difference in performance, but they would make me less embarassed to have some pics on here, and also makes a much better vroooom soundy...

Would be nice to get a pic of my Yaris that isn't from Gran Turismo.... :P

Anyone any opinions?????

also is this any good?

I've read briefly about the system before, but i don't really know the make....

:help:

They are brillant mate, only let cold air in and the filter doesnt restrict air...

However iv heard you have to replace it every 3 years (the whole thing ) dont know if this is true tho

thats the only reason why i didnt get one considering its cost

I'm not sure where your airbox is located on your car, if it's next to the Battery then get an apexi, but being a 1 litre, it should be above the engine, so I would recommend a greddy.

Is it a phase 1 or 2?

here's a pic of mine, sounds very nice, it's not a roar like you'd get with the apexi it's more of a hissing, but when you floor it just after changing gear it sounds like a dump valve but a bit quieter.

i would have said greedy, best for the 1 ltr and seems to be the popular choice amongst them, however after seeing the bmc, go with that, excellent peice of kit, like matt has said and you have to love the carbon fibre, seen this on a couple of cars now, and is lush!

the BMC is highly rated on other cars ur more likely to get performance rather than noise which is a good thing,

oh AND ITS CARBON!

Doesnt matter about it being phase1, itll fit still.

Just had a thought, the air con pipe may get in the way with this if you have aircon. I had to angle my pipercross filter slightly when I had it on because of it. :(

I'd say GReddy everytime!

Is this BMC thing dry or wet though? If its wet it could cause problems!

The BMC was my second choice, first was pipercross viper, the only problem is they are wet filters which will bugger your MAF sensor up after a while, your better off with the Greddy, it's a dry filter, so no cleaning of MAF sensor required or a new one.

Okay, in this case, where could i buy a Greddy (pref. from the net) and also how much am i looking at for one?

I need to weigh in the pros and cons...

envy performance, links at the top of the page, and it's about £155, it's a bit cheaper than a BMC and much cheaper (about £50) than a pipercross viper.

you will not be dissapointed with it

I don't think you can have the greddy, it sits on top of the engine, not next to the Battery.

You should be able to have the apexi filter which is much better and costs about £120

have a look at a few people's garages

Are you sure you dont mean where your cold air feed is connected?

Actually yeah i think it is the cold feed sorry...

not that great with engines.. I know the physics etc but am not that well minded mechanically yet... My layout is the same as the pic with the BMC filter..
