Yay, Got My Car Back On The Road

Finally after a month of driving my girlfriends Fantastic Escort I have got my little car back on the road.

Got a new engine and had it all fitted and its running sweet again now.

Not sure if I want to sell it now, even tho I have fallen in love with an Mr2 turbo.

Got a few spare bits from the engine swap if anybody wants them, ive got the intake manifold and a tub of bolts, connectors, sensors and bits and bobs. Not sure how much they worth but make me an offer.

Just the same ole 5e-fe, too expensive to do 'THE' conversion, get a whole car for that price!!!, does seem abit silly.

OK, Im thick, what are the main differnces between the 5e-fe and the 5e-fhe? All I know is the latter is faster!!!

revised cylinder head, new pistons (which both contribute to a higher compression ratio), stronger conrods, a.c.i.s intake manifold (doesnt increase hp, rather it increases torque) and i believe more efficient emissions controls too...andrew will no doubt add more, or someone else who knows! :P

i believe all sera's do have one, though they dont all have the a.c.i.s intake manifold. the toyota cynos beta in japan has the 5e-fhe as well (the cynos alpha has the 4e-fe)...

meh, instead of just transplanting a 5e-fhe im gonna import a cynos beta...its got a lot more options :)

meh, its a bit ugly behind, and i dont like the sun much....the absence of a roof would annoy me ...its basically a paseo underneath anyway..err..i mean cynos B)

True I suppose, saw a Cynos on autotrader while back, it had air con and a rear wash/wipe.. that would be handy

yeah i saw that one! pee'd me right off....its been such a hassle without a rear wash wipe, especially in the snowy season :ffs:

i've only seen 2 others in the south - a beaten up white one in bluewater & one on the M25.

wont be for a while yet! but i dunno, im gonna go through newera. yeah, ive only ever seen em on autotrader, and there's the irish dude that got the cynos convertible

and yeh, there was loadsa snow here! quite fun actually...sorry for hijacking your thread isnt there someone else who hasnt gotten to drive their 'seo for a while too? bakewell or mellowyellow or someone like that?
