No auto box in the diesel is a BIG minus in the UK and European market for a car of this size/class.

It is competing against auto diesels in the BMW, Mercedes, Passats, Mondeos et al. Even Skoda now does a very good auto diesel in this sector. Toyota and Honda do not seem to have sussed this out yet though.
