well if ur talking about a turbo starlet then buy it

you will be glad

easy to modify etc..

the best model starlet i would say is the 1995 model

its looks and it is a little more faster than the older model

to me the glanza v is not to bad in looks but a little bit to heavy

buy a rocket pocket :D

naa not the turbo, the sr was an english thing i think, this a rply from someone on another forum,

Ok hear goes they were standard starlets when they came over on the boat to England and the Toyota uk used TTE (toyota team europe) tuning parts to improve them.

As far as i'm aware this was the TTE rear spoiler, rear sliencer, suspension (think it was just up-rated lowered springs) and the sexy 15" Speedline alloys. Oh and the sr stickers were applied.

At the time of manufacture they were the quickest 1.3 availble.

They use a N/A normally aspriated 4EFE engine. They will respond quite well totuning but you are limited a little to what is avalible Blitz do a range of products and so does Sacha on here.

Had a look about but i'm struggling to find out specs........

All i can say is i had one for a year and was a great motor good on petrol cheap insurance, looked, handeled and went well as standard.

My best mate has just changed her micra for one i've not, and i've never heard a bad word said against them. The only thing i disliked was the seats were a bit plain for me.

Josh,

I have the original manufacturers info for the SR. It says that all the starlet range that used the 4E-FE engine have all the same BHP, MPG etc. I think 78 BHP???

I have an SR, it a wkd car. But if I was starting again I would buy the Glanza V for sure. I've test driven one and they are totally rapid!!!

If you want the info for the SR I can scan the pages and Email them to you if you like?

Hope I was some help

Nath :thumbsup::rolleyes:

Hello mate,

The SR is well rapid, Its something crazy like 9 secs to 60. It weighs the same as the starlet turbo, about 750kg's so although the power isn't anything special, the power to weight ratio makes it quick. But why not buy a turbo? If you're young the insurance will be big, but f**k it! They're well rapid, just make sure you don't get the Glanza, it heavier and slower!

Happy hunting,

hye bud,i will tell you that most of the last replies you got were some what miss leading.first off glanza's dont weigh much more than g.i. starlets, secondly your specs on a glanza are:engine,1332cc,4 port,16 valve efi, twin cams\(dohc)4e-fe engine,90 bhp,74 bhp at the flywheel,as for 0-60 standard im not sure,as my glanza s,has been lowered 35mm allround on 15" mak "stings" on 195 firestones which in my opion is the ultimate settings for handeling and accelaration, secondly with a few slight engine mod's the bhp will rise to 115bhp,and for about 800 euros you can easely slap a turbo on to it,but for the sake of another 200 euros id just buy a 98 turbo glanza v,witch has a different bodykit than the 96 models.if you whant some web sites e-mail me at:srd@indigo.ie,i'd be glad to help............

regards,

srd......

The Starlet 1.3 SR has 74bhp, does 0-60 in 11 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 103 mph although i have had mine off of the clock at 120 mph!
