The French Car Show

Did any one go today.

I say that because I went as my mate owns a 206 GTI 180.

He's a regional leader on one of the Peugeot website so I went up today,

To check it out.

I felt like an out sider the only Toyota if not Yaris there I think, lol

The place was massive, some old air field near Leicester.

It was funny watching the Citrons, Peugeot’s & Renaults going round a race track, Some of them were really luad.

It's made me want to go to the next big Toyota/Yaris Meet.

As I've never been to one yet. :o

One thing I would say is the French car lot didn't really seem to mingle with each other they just seemed to stay in there little "Big" groups.

So did any one go? And when is the next big meet?

Slap me if you want for taking about French cars and most of all going

Although you were near me, you should've popped in for a cuppa on your way back!

I have to live with a Peugeot in our household - thats bad enough! But going to a French Car show - what were you thinking?:lol:

But theres a big difference between being built in France and being French!

My other halfs 206 has put me off Peugeots for life - its had so many problems, with the engine backfiring, recalls - on Sat the engine warning light came on, so he has to take it to Peugeot to get it checked out, which is yet more expense.....

I told him he wouldnt have had this bother if he'd had a Toyota......

*Holds face after mutable slaps*

Luckily mine is a Phase 1 made in Japan

Yeah I've heard of Peugeot's engines just cutting out no matter what speed it's doing. That sounds dodgy.

All the people who I know that have 206's, Have had no problems at all. Yet!!

Is there going to be a track at JAE? What about a raffle? I'm getting excited now :D

Where do I sign up???????

Im ashamed to add my name to this... but i was at the FCS too! That's two Yarii!! Woo-Hoo!!

Mate of mine had his Astor GTI-6 on show. Sweet car! Funny thing though, being frence... it broke down! His girlfriend had the music running for about an hour and it needed jumping!

Im quite surprised i didn't get chinned by all the scally's there as i just slandered the french sh*te all day! There was some mental motors... like a 306 with an exhaust shaped into the letters 'PUG'.

A LOT of horrid motors too, some to give kids nightmares!

The organisation of the track was attrocious... they had pedestrians crossing on the straight and the bottom corner to get to viewing areas... but the cars can't see them until very late and there were a fair few bumps and knocks as cars piled up.

The car park was a joke too... nearly lost my front end on a ditch on the way in, then the foot long grass nearly ate my car!

I didn't see your Yaris there, Big place though

Yeah i saw a few Jump starts going on near the end of the day, they most of just run the Battery right down playing music.

There was wholes all over the place DANGAROUS.

Nice planes though.

I'm dragging my mate with the 206 to JAE. he he

My Yaris replaced a 106 - best thing I ever did! :D

Only 2 years old, 32,000 miles when I got rid of it but the engine warning light was coming on regularly and one day in the week before I got rid of it I drove 20 miles to work and the thing was misfiring the whole way!!

It might be French-built but my Yaris is sooooooo much better
