Problems Experienced With Used Avensis(+250000 Km)

Hello,

I'm about to buy a used Avensis SOL D4D from 2003 which has served as a Taxi until now. It has run about 250000 km.

I'm wondering what kind of repairs I'll most likely run into, and when? The service report for the car didn't show anything unusual (the clutch has just been changed).

What is your experience with Avensis and this number of km.? What kind of problems/repairs have you run into?

Was it on the road 24/7 (as a Taxi)?................thats a lot of miles for a 2003 model

Yes, it was used as a 24/7 Taxi. I agree with the tyres :)

Make sure the cambelt has been changed at least twice, and a service history indicating lots of oil changes is always good news, it being an ex taxi, every 3-6000 miles would be good. Aside from that it should have plenty life in it yet in my opinion. :D
