Exhaust Rattle?

Hi people I am now a proud owner of my first Celica, amazing aren't they! I still can't believe ive got one

I have a slight rattling coming from underneath either the engine or centre of the car....ive been test driving a few before i bought the one I have now and in a few other they seem to have the same rattle, when i accelerate it seems to be the loudest.

I have been told its the baffles in the exhaust, can anyone clarify this and give me a fix please?

Mine does the same when i accelerate theres a rattle mine coming from the flexi pipe, maybe its the same for you, you can try and repair them with these shields and jubliee clips but its best to buy the new part,

Do you notice any performance losses or blowing noises?

yup I agree, I had rattling from the middle of my gen 5 and it turned out to be the guts of the cat rattling about, new cat if this is the case I'm afraid!! :(

It does really sound like a metallic rattle tho it does sound like something rattling inside a can, dare i ask about how much a cat is?

Instead of buying a whole new Downpipe which are £300ish from toyota i went to a company called pipe craft in essex (basildon) they cut the old flexi bit out and weld a new one in perfect now, Cost £89

tom were u reffering to the flexipipe on urs being rattly?

its defo the flexi pipe on mine that rattles... kinda like it tho... sounds raspy :D
