Did sombody read my post "Shamless Avensis production problems" (yesterday).I 'm pretty serious with this.

Did somebody had the same problems or any of those with corrosion and turbine failure?

I have not suffered engine block corrosion (yet). But the rubber seals of the doors and boot corroded badly within a year or two of purchase. They were replaced under warranty, but recently I noticed that the seal of the windscreen is badly cracked and corroded. My warranty ended this year - I will keep you posted as to whether Toyota takes responsibility for this (it is a2002 car)

In general have been very dissatisfied with car - lots of production bugs. Steering replaced twice under warranty, terrible moldy smell from AC, etc., etc. Would never buy again.

I have a 2003 old shape D4D and have had no problems at all apart from a slight brake judder which turned out to be incorrect wheel balance.

Sorry you havent had lots of feedback but I've noticed on this forum a lot of people are less interested in the technical problems people have and more likely to reply if you talk about fat wheels, body modifications or in car entertainment.
