Sunroof

I have a 1999 1.8 GLS Hatchback and the sunroof slides back quite slowly once half way and can stop if the engine is not running (probably due to the lack of power in the electrical circuit when engine not running)

I just wish to know if anyone else has had this problem and if so if they have managed to solve it?

Thanks - Simon.

Could need lubing. As friction builds up the motor will need more current to do the job and volts will drop unless the alternator is running.. Try WD40 wiped on with a rag ( spray the rag, not the car to keep it off the roof lining) if that works then try a tiny amount of white lithium grease ( Halfords) on the tracks and moving parts, pivots etc at least once a year.
