4x4 Tax

:censor: :censor: Did I hear right are the government going to put the road tax up on 4x4 and mpv and in some cases I’ve heard about £900 for the year. Just hope that I am wrong but it does not surprise me at all, as the government will tax the crap out of any thing. :censor: :censor: :censor: :censor: :censor:

Not heard of this specifically - but am expecting them to start slaughtering the higher poluting cars soon - guess most 4x4's will be in this class due to the higher frictional losses ...

My Surf on combi or urbun and run can do 30mpg compared to my MR2 turbo that does about 20 mpg

My Surf can only only do just over 70mph again compared to the MR2 turbo that is quite capable of over 140mph

My Surf can carry 5 people in relative comfort, MR2 2 people not so much comfort

The goverment talks out of its rear and just looks for someone to target and i can bet it wont just stop with 4x4's
