Hi,

Apart from air filter and exhaust what else could you do on a Mrk2 Turbo to increase BHP. Is there other turbos you can fit or upgrade? what's the first 5 basics mods to give you that extra bhp?

inducktion kit

Zorst which has to include a Decat for full effect

Manual boost controler and up the boost.. (within limits of safty depending on your car's year of manufacture)

Do that first and then you can move onto other mods..

Sort of in order :

Exhaust (inc decat) is a must.

Air Filter.

Manual Boost controller (you need a decent boost gauge as well for this) 1 bar is a good guide.

Prob need new cooler plugs for more boost

Then your talkin more cash, but :

uprated intercooler

uprated turbo (stg 1 - 3)

mapable ecu or air/fuel controller

Forged Pistons

Steel conrods

Bigger Cams

2.2 stroker kit...........

The list can go on....... But id go from the top of this list

bpu pretty much includes intake/exhaust, uprated ic, some sort of boost controller, fuel cut/boost cut defencer to up boost, and maybe 1step colder plugs to help agains detonation. i think thats pretty much basic upgrades until fuel and reliability becomes an issue. then if u want more, start upgrading fuel (bigger injector and better flowing fuel pump), uprgraded turbo(td06, gt series turbos, etc etc of sourse u need a new dp to fit it), external wastegate, ems, water injection...like boundsw said, it goes on and on and on.
