Paseo - Whats It Worth

Ok so i bought another paseo - with the intention of using it as a runaraound, but with the 75 nearly on the road in a lot less time than i thought and the vvti still being done up, i dont think i can afford to keep it, esp when i was just bidding on the kit for it on eBay - so glad i didnt win it because once i start I dont stop.....

its got a 104,000 miles on it, i sold the old one which was done up with 96000 miles for 2500 last summer, this ones totally standard with full mot, how much do you think i should put it up for a quick sale?

i got my 1997 si for 2750 and it had 59,999mi on it...so im thinking £2000 - £2250

no way that much? i was thinking more along the lines of 1500? its the worst colour they do the paseo in - the green/blue colour, anyone sold a high milage one recently? the old one sold for 2400 - done up, last year tho, r they going up in price yet?

i'd think your's would be worth at least £2500, maybe more...there's a convertible on autotrader thats going for £4700 and its got about the same mileage iirc

Yeah, im selling up, dont quite trust her since she broke down on me even though I have fitted a new engine.

Was thinking of putting it up for £4500 but be happy to take £4000.

well no-one's bought those convertibles for months, so id aim lower, maybe £3500, cause as you say, the engine is a bit unreliable (which is strange seeing as toyota's are one of the most reliable cars in the world), and mods usually devalue a car...you could start at £4000 to see the interest, then gradually move on down

The cam belt snapped on me, So thats why ive fitted the new engine, its been running perfect since ive had that fitted 2 weeks ago.

what kinda mileage did you have on it? cambelt change is supposed to be at 60,000mi

Had 70,000 on the clock, and had the cambelt changed at 47k. But I somehow got a stone or something inside the cam cover which ripped the cambelt and it was so damaged it snapped, and this was when i was 155 miles away from home in the middle of no where!

Ive not got the old engine, Ive got the intake manifold if thats any good to anyone???
