does having 18s at the back and 17s at the front encourage understeer or have you do it to avoid problems with 18s at the front?

Looks good, and agreed with lee, very nice colour

By the experience so far with these alloys the car handles alot better than it used to do. It use to understeer all the time if I tried accelerating around corners or just going fast around them, or even oversteer when putting the foot down halfway round a corner. But since having these alloys and tyres on I havent noticed any understeering or oversteering.

But I only got 17 on the front and 18 on the rear to look nice, but of course upgrading width of tyre helped the handling.

Probably the tyres doing that :)

just wondered if thats the reason you did it as they use 16" and 15" on the mk3 for this reason :thumbsup:
