hello. had the damper basic kit from tein fitted on. always hits the arches when throwing it round a corner. not at insane speeds but acceptable ones lol. has anyone else had this problem? what should i do? the dampers arent adjustable

harder springs? is it available? seems the only way i can get it to stop rubbing is to raise the ride height. i have 17" super leggeras on it with 205/40/17 toyo t1s

any help much appreciated

The only way to stop it rubbing is to raise the ride height,

its a choice you make really

Well mate, il let u into a little secret. Get the arches done. Ive done the back ones myself with a little help from a grinder  & they are dropped down to the bottom.

As for the front, i have adjusted them 11 full turns from the bottom & it doesnt rub. The cars going in to get the front arches rolled & widened in 2 weeks.

Hope this helps :D

i was gonna do this but does it weaken the strength of the car in any way and if you were to have a crash is it balently obvoius youv been hacking them?

Cheers

Na mate, the inner & outer skin of the back arches are pressed 2gether but i havent taken them too far. Ive just taken them down enough so the 17s will fit in nicely :D

Dont be worried about losing strength, it'll be fine

dude where do u live? lol would like you to do mine. what would rolling the arches cost me?

I have heard you can get stretch marks from doing this is this true?

im just really stuck at the mo. really want to thrash it round B roads but dont want to raise the height. how much would i have to raise it by? 10mm? it will look too high then :( dumb dampers!!! not adjustable

Mine started rubbing on the rear when i changed tyre brands, the side wall on the new tyre was more upright than the old ones so i had to fit some bumpstops which sorted it out.

Is that the rubber that fits in the springs?

No, the one that goes over the piston on the shock absorber.
