eBay, there's usually a few sony one's and the like kicking about their that will fit no problem.

Or if you want to splash out and be really 'bling', just get an aftermarket one, may be a bit more difficult to fit though.

I had a problem with mine when i brought it so i just got a cd player from Halfords. they have the wire conversion kits and i just put a tray underneath it. If you ask them they will give you advise anyway

MP3 is the way forward as well

Funny that, mine only plays when its cold, and wont play when ive been driving for a while ie: getting hot.

Least av found the problem anyway, i thought it was the crappy cd-r's i was buying (waits for RIAA to knock on door)

Do you just use the innards of the cd player without the facia and if so do the original controls still work?

???

Not sure what you meant by that but.....

Is your original cd player a double din or single din? ie is it big or small? does it fill the hole.

If your original one is a double din, then you will need a facia adapter something like the following cheapy one from ebay:

That simply reduces the size of the hole so you can slide a single din stereo straight in. You can also buy a new double din stereo but some people have said that the hole is 9mm smaller than standard so you have to trim the plastic away

Hope this clears it up

Bought my mp3/cd player, how did you mount yours, do you need to use the facia adapter available from Halfords? Got the wire conversion kit just a bit stuck on how to fit it in the car! Hope you can help!

you need a single din pocket ,buy 1 from toyota there a 2 kinds available , 1 is a cubby hole type , the other is solid with toyota embossed on the front , they have brakets built onto them which attatch to your new head unit , then you put both into the dash as if fitting a double din unit.
