Hey i want to replace my front Speakers (door and dash) as i already have 6x9s on the parcel shelf.

I can see how to get to the door ones as you just unscrew the panel and yank it off...but what size are those Speakers and can you go bigger....

Also what size are the dash Speakers and how doi get at those...looks a litlle more tricky :P :help:

Kanarnthan, seem to remember reading a thread sometime ago with step by step instructions how to change the front Speakers. Try doing a search or check the how to section on the site.

Hi Kanarnthan, the standard dash Speakers are 10cm (4") and the door Speakers are 13cm (5.25").

You can't fit larger Speakers in the dash as they are a tight squeeze as it is, but 17cm (6.5") speakers will fit in the doors if you buy or make some speaker adaptors. Personally i bought some speaker adaptors as i know they will fit then.

As people said before, the dash speakers are easy .. alot easier than the door speakers as they involved drilling and stuff.

Cheers!

If you PM Seveer he has a class fitting guide with pics and the part numbers you need. The doors are fiddly but not difficult to do ...

so fitting 10cm dash Speakers sounds quite easy then... you basically do a straight swap. But if i want to fit 17cm Speakers in the doors im gonna need an adapter to hold them in place....

guess ill yank off the panels this weekend and take a look c! :P

Dash Speakers are so easy it's untrue! Pop the lid off with a screwdriver down the side, then two screws and out comes your 10cm speaker. Doors are a tad trickier... 13cm standard, but it's 17cm Speakers which fit with the spacer that i used... available from autoleads.

Anyway, the link below is my guide to changing the door speakers:
