Cd Player - Need Help Urgently!

There's no need to mess with electrics.

It's as simple as buying a connector, plugging one into the Cd player, and the other into the wiring loom. No cutting, etc....

Just get the right connector, and you're sorted. ;)

 so whats all this about all wiring and everything in the how to section! i wanna get rid of the stupid cassette player at the bottom and have it as just a CD player with a space at the bottom, do i just buy the bits ready cut and done from toyota or do i have to cut it all myself to fit the cd player in? surely its not that simple if my local Halfords and specialist car audio shop wont do it

That's all mine was.

1x Sony CD Player

1x toyota fascia adapter

1x Audioleads interior fascia adapter (To hold CD player and new coin tray)

1x audioleads ISO connector

Take dash apart, unplug old radio cassette, plug in new CD player with correct ISO adapter, put in new fascias, bob's your uncle.

Dunno why your local halfrauds and car place are fussing. I suspect they're talking bullhonkey, and trying to get moolaa out of you my dear....

 well i suppose £270 for sorting it (minus CD player price!) IS a bit steep! Ok, looks like I'm skiving work tomorrow to go shopping : :D I'll take your word for it, maybe i can prove im not just a pretty face to all the lads i work with

Wot model Yaris you got?

I have the T2 French model and the part numbers in the "How To" section, weren't the right ones.

I had to order another one. I'll find the code for ya.

The ISO adapter, is a "double-din" unit, to connect to your make of CD player....

The inside Fascia by audioleads, is for a Rav4 Toyota...

Apologies, I confused myself earlier! This is what you need to know!

Rite. If it's a French T2 like mine, then the part number I used for the fascia was:

55406-52050-B0

Double Din Unit - FP-11-03, made by Audioleads (This is what I referred to as the "interior fascia, that holds your headunit)

ISO lead: PC2-17-4 (toyota one)...... (And this is the lead to connect your headunit to the Yaris wiring loom)

Rite, so it's pretty new. If it's French, you'll probably have a "Made in France" sticker in your windscreen (driver's side, at the top - little black sticker).

Seriously, that's how I knew mine was a French build...

:D

I've written the codes above.

Go to Toyota dealer for the Fascia adapter, and to Audioleads for the other bits. You may be able to get them from Halfrauds, but I ordered mine online.

Re: bodykits, etc, I believe if you look at the top of the Yaris forum, someone has already compiled a list in one of the sections at the top.

I've got a bog standard Yaris, so I can't comment on what's best to get.

Post a question on one, and someone will help ;)

:help: Available to all of you peoples wanting CD players fitted into a Yaris...spoke to someone who works in a Halford in Stoke On Trent and apparantly they fit them and as far as the lads aware, they are the only Halfords that can and want to do it? It may be worth the petrol and time for people to go down there if they dont fancy !Removed! up their car trying to fit one themselves...

My other half works at Halfords in nottingham and he fits cd players into yarii all the time, a lot of Halfords do fit them into yarii
