Is the yaris engine made from an alloy and has anyone eles got a white power corrosion. Only a couple of months old and would like to keep nice and clean anyway to stop.

Do you mean white powder?

That would be aluminium oxide from the heat (+water). If your car is new then it will settle down as the oxide layer actually protects the metal from further corrosion.

Not sure of the best way to stop this. I imagine this is only occuring on the rocker cover?
