Phase 1/2?

Sorry for the extreme newbie question, but what's the difference?!?

you have a phase 1....

phase two have teardrop headlights, a blacker dash and squarer buttons, the glovebox feels crap, it has a bootlight!

Also P2 have a range meter which tells you on the screen how many miles you have left! Very useful! Also has different bumpers too!

P1 models are S, GS, CDX, SR & T-Sport

P2 models are T2, T3, T-Spirit & T-Sport

Both phases have Colour Collection models, P2 has the Blue model

Matt gave you the main differences though!

The P2 also has more safety features apart from the cosmetics. I believe the engines are different or improved to meet future emission regulations coming out this year or next.

Unless you have a D-4D (which you don't) - I think they disabled it because the numbers don't show high enough..

Not noticed anything wrong with my contintally French Yaris yet.

Although there's a slight wiff of garlic, and I'm sure the horn plays the first line of the French national anthem....

Yep, there is no proof that my horr-hee-horr-hee-horr Yaris de Francais is any less reliable than the Japanese equivalent!

I've never had any problems with my froggy Yaris - at all - ever! She is tres magnifique!!

Phase 2 3 Door Yaris also have Seat Memory when you let people into the back!!! Where as phase 1 Yaris do not - Very very annoying!!

i make my back seat buddy's go through passenger side everytime!

The one thing i hate about the Phase 2 T-Sport is that stupid large black plastic area on the rear below the hatch, there's no need, and it looks silly! Reminds me of the days when the Yaris had that daft plastic strip right down the middle of the front and rear bumpers!

Give me a Phase 1 any day with its rounded buttons and smooth bumpers (Well mine are anyway!!)
