Carina E - Wiring

Hi,

I've just bought a Digital Thermometer from Halfords for my Carina E, and want to wire the external sensor through to behind the front bumper / in front of the radiator. I'm mounting it on the ashtry next to the cigarette lighter, but can anyone suggest the best way to route the wiring through to the front of the car?

pass via the nearside of the engine bay (beside the battery) and tie in with the wiring loom that enters the cabin on the passenger footwell.

Thanks, I'll let you know how I get on! Fiddling with wires in footwells isn't easy when you're 6'8" and have big hands, as I remember when I had to refit the aerial the other year!
