51 plate Yaris GS Phase 1 (just found that out ;))

Measured my current coin tray - it's 7inches by 2inches - same size as my new CD player. Does this mean I won't need a fascia adapter?

I know a few peeps have put their CD players in coin trays.

Personally, I think it looks untidy, but yes, it can be done.

And I'm guessing it's pretty easy to add a new fascia if I decide it looks crap...? Would it all need re-wiring again?

You don't need to re-wire anything in the 1st place so no, you wouldn't need to re-wire.

I've put my CD player in the coin tray aswell beacuse when I done it I didn't know about the fascia thingy!

i had mine in my coin tray for a while, then decided it looks a bit odd having two cd players, so went out and bought the fascia adapter. now it lkooks as sweet as can be!! if u can afford it, go buy the adapters! it looks better in the long run!

I think mine looks fine. It fits nice and also i can keep my tape player for those really old tracks. Like ............<<(Insert old track name here)

The CD Player was fitted for free be Toyota for messing me about.

My point is something nice and neat not to messy will look ok.

Hi guys, been busy this past few weeks, this is the 1st thread i've looked at! I used to have my headunit in the coin tray, then i was inspired (by Chappers mainly) to do something manly with it like add the fascia!

Fascia is available from Mr T (Toyota) for £38, they do a seperate one for the Phase 1 and 1 for the Phase 2 yaris, make sure you get the right one! The part numbers are listed in the forums somewhere, not got time to search, but they are an official Toyota part.

As for the black bit in the middle, the Double Din unit, its actually listed as a Rav 4 unit, made by AutoLeads, model FP-11-03, roughly £20. These are not available from Toyota.
