Side Skirts

Even when I was buying my new Colour Collection, I was toying with the idea of getting side skirts fitted. Toyota's site has them at £169.95 including VAT but excluding painting and fitting. My dealer quoted me £560 painted and fitted :o so I gave them a miss!

Anyone else had them fitted? If so, did Mr T do them for you and how much did you pay please?

I think they look good but that's a lot of money, isn't it?

Any opinions (and pics) would be appreciated.

Cheers

I have been toying with side skirts myself Al..... but they are uber expensive and not anything I can fit myself, so in reality its a bit of a no no....

However I would get Toyota ones fitted if I get a substantial bonus which includes the skirts plus everything else I want!

i managed to get a set of sideskirts a while back, got them sprayed by a friend. My dad and i fitted them ourselves (needs 2 people really)........It took ages, lots of planning, lots of panic, very worth it. Would recommend getting them fitted by Mr. T. because its alot of hassle.

:D lol!!!!!!!! It did seem like that, they give you a small shaped piece of plastic to line up with, which confused us for a bit! you have to stick 3 things in one go! it get srewed underneath, stuck to a guide rail behind and then sealed/stuck around the edges!!!!

Can you not use your friendly, local bodyshop/accident repair centre. They're boud to be much cheaper than Mr T and you're probably just cuttingout the middle man

I think they look great but the amount you pay for what they are doesnt make it worthwhile imo, it'd be nice to see the cheapest they can be bought for though

I'm afraid that's still going to be a little rich for me at the moment, mate so I'll have to decline your kind offer. :crybaby: Also I've got no facilities where I live to fit em myself so I'd also have to add fitting to the list of costs.

Ah well, thank you anyway for taking the time and checking out the prices for me. It's really appreciated.

Not many T-Sports around, even less in a scrap yard.

Side skirts do make the car look a lot better and a little lower.
