Hi all.

Looking for some advice please.

I own 1991 gti-16, The car is in standard condition and only travelled 61k. The original owners were an old couple. Bless them Now i have got my hands on it i want to release its potential.

I got a really good deal on eBay Full SS Mongoose exhaust, new £180. I am also looking to change manifold, Have been looking at APex'i Spiral Manifold.

Anyone know anything about them or had them.

Does anyone do performance downpipes or would i just replace standard one?

I don't know of anyone on TOC who's done a spiral manifold change.

I have just ordered one Manifold ' Apex'i super spiral' and Apex'i induction Kit.

Its four weeks for delivery, i will keep you updated once parts are fitted and how my car performs.

The Mongoose SS is probably the best Exhaust system I 've seen on the Corolla Gti so far.I have one on my old 92' rolla and has been pleased with it since it was fitted

Totally agree with the mongoose theory, ive had it on, and its PHATT, it has made the car slightly faster, but mine makes a duck-ey noise unfortunately, but i was planning on getting rid of the back box anyway, ive got a FAT up SubZ style muffler with 4" exit and im guna use the middle of the mongoose along with the universal muffler, im going to use just the 1st section, then get a pipe straight and then angle it around 4 o clock style and the back box will be angled proper look and mental, but thats what im guna do with mine, cus ive always liked that style exhausts

be careful when swaping the maifold on the 4A-GE as you can loose more power than gain. these engines are very picky on manifold design

agree with Dawsey on this one, i've tried a few of the best but nothing flows and extracts as good as the cast toyota one.
