Ok..

Ill remind you what happened..

6 months ago, i got caught by a multanova speed camera for speeding at 96 kmh in a 60 kmh zone..

i sent them a confession and a letter of "regret" (it was my first speeding ticket ever) .. i didnt show up to the trial and wanted them to give me a ruling without me being there..

i got (in uk currency) about 100 quid fine, no points, no "probation" time..

got off the hook fairly easy this time..

:bye: :D

That's good but what do you mean "this time"? Surely you'll want to avoid there being a next time.

Anyway, I imagine they would be less lenient with future offences. You be careful.

Yes - make sure there is no next time else you might get a worse penalty!!

In the UK you are on a 2 year probation after you pass your driving test and if you get more than 6 penalty points in that first 2 years, your licence gets revoked and you have to take your tests again!

I'm proud to say I've got a totally clean record but yeah, I admit, there have been occasions where I've broke the speed limit and have been lucky to not be caught..... the only way to be sure you're never caught though, is to not do it in the first place!

Congrats eternity, you'd not get off like that in the UK!

Gaz.

actually, around Tel Aviv especially, it is very difficult to speed... most of the major motorways are clogged most of the day...

and residential streets all have speed humps everywhere!

I know Israel a little ;) more familiar with Tel Aviv, out to Herzlyia

Just that thing happened to me! I would of had my license for 2 years, but a month before i got my sixth point and license revoked so had to do the whole thing all over again! I had to do the hazard perception test too which i hadnt had to do before. Passed first time on both though so its 2 out of 2 for me now! How great am i!!

On the UK motorways its very hard to keep at 70Mph, I find my self doing 80Mph as all other cars are doing the same.

if I slow down everyone starts overtaking. I feel like I’m a hazard.

You kind of know where the speed camera's and Police are though as the flow of traffic slows to about 66mph.

The government should raise the national speed limit to 80Mph.

What do you think?

i dont agree, ull only find motorist increasing their speed further and cruseing along at 90mph! some motorists do that now anyway so if they know there allowed that extra 10 mph whos to say they wont take that into account and still go that little bit quicker!!

Charlies got a point - people already try and abuse the motorway by an extra 10-20mph ! Up the limit and you up the abuse level!

im up for autobahn myself, when the conditions get worst they impose limits using electronic signs.

If they catch you over this speed the consqences are drastic

My bros been stationed in Germany with the army for years (when hes not in Kosovo, Iraq etc) and he thinks the autobahn is crud and prefers British motorways!
