I'm sure there are a few topics on here somewhere, but the search engine won't allow you to enter a word less than 3 letters so i'm having trouble finding it

thanks for all your help everyone. yeah i cant see it being released in september at all. not sure what to make of it at the moment tbh. guess it will be a case of having to see it in the flesh b4 deciding.

while im here does anyone know if a reason was given for the lighter blue colour being pulled (cant remember the name) ive got a 02 carribean blue GLS but really want a T.sport but since the blue was pulled i dont want to spend all that money on a T.sport in a colour i dont even like . i thought that type of blue was one of the most popular going out of all cars but now we are stuck with the carlo or the wishy wash ice blue which is neither here nor there.

Balearic Blue. It was the colour of my last Yaris....

She was a beaut - I loved that colour!

I have no idea why they discontinued it - from what I gather it was a limited edition colour and was only available for a year from when the P2 was released to about this time last year. I bought my 1st Yaris in Jan 04 and they had stopped it just after they released the 04 plates. So when I bought my new Yaris in November, I chose Carlo Blue instead, which is a very beautiful colour actually....

But I did prefer the Balearic it has to be said, but the Carlo shines like no other colour I've ever seen and looks amazing in sunlight!

btw - you cant get a T-Sport in Carlo or Ice Blue anyway.... highest model you go is a T-Spirit, which is what I have. T-Sport only comes in Thunder Grey, Chilli Red or Eclipse Black!

yeah thats true. just at the time for a while they still did the t sport in blue. i only found out later they had stopped. this is going back a while though. i wouldnt mind if they did the sport in plain sliver but theres only the thunder grey. anyway it seems it will be the same with the new yaris aswell when it comes out

Yeah they stopped the T-Sport in Silver too I believe..... now they only have the three-colour palette which in all honesty I hope they have a much better choice of colours with this New Yaris, especially the T-Sport, because I'm like you Lucie.... I'm partial to blue cars (obviously lol!) and I'm adamant that I'd only buy a new Yaris T-Sport in blue..... blue is kinda my signature colour.

I'm pretty sure they will do though, well I hope so! I've seen the colours they produced for the Japanese Vitz and they've included two shades of blue, a light metallic similar to the Ice Blue but darker and a darker blue thats kinda inbetween the Balearic Blue and Carlo Blue, which would be the one I'd have.

Oh well, heres hoping I guess!

yeah i was looking on their site or trying to with all the japanese but it seems the colours for the RS are the same as we have now. i think white has been added but other than that its red black and the grey. and the sliver instrument panel is for the lower spec cars but its just black in the RS version. i though it would be the other way around. sliver looks far more sporty to me.

Hmm well I hope they change that for the UK market - I've been wanting my Mark2 Yaris since I first heard about it and that was when I was going to upgrade to the T-Sport model (or variant!) as I've had 2 T-Spirits now and fancy an upgrade in a couple of years.... but I wont do it if they don't do one in Blue and theres not much point getting a new one if I'm not going to upgrade my spec - I might as well keep my current Yaris if thats the case!

Still, guess we should wait on news from Toyota and hopefully they'll see sense and bring the T-Sport version out in Blue! I always thought they were mad for discontinuing Balearic Blue on all models, but especially on the T-Sport - I would have upgraded to a T-Sport already if I could have got one in Balearic Blue in November!

yeah its the colour thats holding me back from getting a t.sport. i dont wanna spend all that money on a colour i dont really like. although ive found online sites that sell yaris's over 2 grand cheaper than dealerships.all uk spec aswell. so that makes me feel better about it lol but now the new one is gonna come out sooner or later ill probably wait and see what its like. theres nothing worse than buying a new car and then two mins later they change it and u wish u had waited cause u prefer the newer version. i had that after i bought my 02 plate. about a year later they bought the new spec out.

For the life of me I can't inderstand why another popular colour, Cirrus White, is only available on the T2 and T3 Yarii. Over in Canada it seems to be one of the most popular colours and I love it!

Toyota seem to be limiting the colour range as part of getting Yarii to customers quickly off the production line. As the T Sport is made in Japan, not France, a wide range of colours could mean them getting stuck with one colour on their hands. This way, a customer orders a T Sport, is told the long waiting time for say, Thunder Grey and the dealer says "but I can get you a Chilli Red one in a fortnight". "Oh, go on then, says the impatient customer".

Cynical? Moi? :P

I don't think the Mark II Yaris or whatever they decide to call it, will be available in a wide range of colours either, sorry to say. Just look at the Aygo for instance.

I had that too when I bought Kaori - at first I wanted Ice Blue, but they told me it would be like 6-8 weeks..... I couldnt wait that long and it just so happened we were sitting behind a Carlo Blue Yaris and I said "Oooh that colours gorgeous, hows longs that?" and she said "Can get you that in a week" SOLD!

I'm glad I chose the Carlo over the Ice but I was a very impatient customer as I needed a car quickly! I dont regret my choice one little bit - I'm biased of course but I think I picked the best! :D

I'll be very disappointed if Toyota do what they did with Aygo and have a small selection of colours..... very disappointed indeed - so much so that they may lose a new customer over it - I'm very particular about things and I want a Mk2 Blue Yaris T-Sport or none at all!
