i need to see if the part number on your strange looking coil pack/igniter is the same as a starlet gt turbo as i will have a better chance of sourcing one.

please, please, please can someone take a look and tell me what it is?!?!?!?

Not sure...

Would love to help but just don't know. I am not even sure if it's the same on the engines shared between the MKI MR2, Corolla AE82, Corolla AE86 and corolla AE92 (all of which had the same engine).

Perhaps ask in the General section as we may both find the same coil/igniter is used in a number of Toyotas (god forbid)

Yes I too for years have wondered why the 'Coil' on my AE92 GTi is a wierd shape/construction as opposed to what i am used to ... a aluminium cylinder made by Lucas for my 70's bangers

someone there might have one, as theyre really helpful like that or they will certainly know where to get one from

Now then, I'm wet and I suppose it's not u'r fault I forgot the card I wrote the numbers on and had to go back out but here's the numbers

My igniter is a type 174 it has the following No's on it

Lrge font 89621 - 26010 sml font 131300-1743

I hpe this helps I have an S3 - FE 2.0l GT engine which is common to your motor
