Oh right - I had no idea pre-registered cars were classed as used.

Surely it would make sense for them to sell them new rather than pre-registered - they make more on them new dont they?

they charge the same price as if they were new. the vat isnt included on them, but for what it costs the dealers to buy initially it doesnt make any difference.

we have a lot of pre-reg cars in sept and march to keep the targets up and send the manager to some far away destination <_<

Hmmm yeah the manager cant go without his annual bonus..... even though its the little guys that actually do all the work! Sales & Retail is so unfair in that respect!

Do they do that because you cant charge VAT on an item thats not brand new then - isnt that what pre-registering is all about? To make the sales look better?

The last of them to be made were the ice blues  :(  every dealer snapped them up and registered them to sell as "used" cars  <_<

B) I have a Pre-Reg Yaris Blue in Ice Blue, even if she is pre-reg she's new "brand new" to me, no-one else has driven her around before..it's just on the log book that she was owned by toyota beforehand and I'm not eligible for the "new for old" vehicle replacement on my insurance policy.

I know that - I thought of all this stuff when I got her - I'm not planning to sell anywhere in the near future anyway..she's staying for as long as possible
