i am currently looking for insurance that should be applied by friday...

however the best quote ive had so far is from "4youngdrivers"

this is also ideal as they don't usually charge extra for exhausts and induction kits....

Who have you found to be good insurers? preferabally young driver based/biased.....

:help: Help ? :help:

I'm with CIS and they're prices aren't too bad, and they don't charge extra for mods.

Asda are cheap but last time I checked they won't insure modded cars

Just signed up with Toyota. I liked the idea of it automatically being repaired at one of their own workshops and genuine parts obviously. They beat Churchill by around 60 quid.

When I told Churchill I wasn't going to be renewing with them this year they immediately said "Well shall we see if we can beat Toyota's quote for you?".

I said "No thanks, if you could afford to offer me the same product for less, you should have done so in your renewal letter to me in the first place!".

Did you not get free insurance when you got your car? I did with my last one. In Toyota Insurance's defence they were excellent until I had to speak to their "Total Loss" department. They were (natch!) a total loss and kept going on about "oh, you have the free insurance - I'm not sure about that". In the end I totally lost the plot with them - something that doesn't happen too often <_< I think it was the fourth time I had to telephone yet another department and say that, "yes, my father could deal with them on my belhalf" as I couldn't take up any more of my work time of the flipping telephone.

In case you care it tis operated by Royal Sun Alliance.

Sorry for the rant

Meanwhile, back on topic...

HEHE i like that thinking! though maybe bit silly turning down better price! but then again the toyota insurance kind of more genuine or something! Slightly off topic but same kind of people... Sky always offer you a better quote if you are thinking of leaving them as when you call up to quit they offer a 3 months half price package or something! Things like that anger me as if they can afford to do it in the first place is there really any need to rip you off?

Insurance for me (going to be 17) is stupidly expensive as ever! I getting best quote around £1,500 for 1999 Yaris CDX 1.3 (what i want to own :P)

You'd be lucky to get a 1.3 at 17.... Well early 17 anyway...

I just got a quote slightly under a grand from Quinn but they look like *****s on modification...

"4 young drivers" has got pages devoted to modifying laws and tips :)

I'm with Toyota Insurance and have been for over two years now. They seem to be pretty competitive as well. The first Year was free with my Yaris T3 and then my second I paid for and my third, the dealer met me half way when I bought my Yaris Blue. I'm 24 with 4 years no claims though. When I got my first insurance policy going back a few years I had a 1.3 Toyota Starlet and found the best deal to be with Liverpool Victoria as got a bit of a discount being a student at the time.

Hope this helps anyway

I'm with Tesco insurance, on my car. However, As a young male - first car and first time pass recentally most companies wanted £2000!!!

So mum took over the log book and registration of the car and I was added to her insurance onnit :\

I only pay £300 a year now fully comp. Downside is, she uses my yaris around town to get shopping instead of her Rav4.

ooh I do have a pass plus thinggie that I havent cashed in yet, gonna wait to see if its cheaper to stay on as a named driver for the time being or take it back over.

No not just CIS, they use a lot of insurers - including the company I work for as they are a large broker

I'm with Norwich Union just now but renewal is up this month and the best quote I have found by far is with elephant.co.uk, might give Adrian Flux a call though!

Diamond do insure men only if they are a named driver on the female's policy.

Adrian F are good, they are another one of the large brokers the company I work for uses - so are people's choice.

My Blue is insured with Tesco - nice and cheap and also when I call them to make a policy enquiry they are friendly and because I am a friendly insurance person I expect others to be the same

Try bell direct.com (part of admiral) they give a introductory discount and are brilliant if you havent got many years no claims

i had to take a seperate policy out for the mr2 as my other insurers wouldnt swap it over from the fiesta, so even though ive got two years NCB on the other policy i had to start again with zero - they managed to quote me cheaper on the MR2 than my first year on the fez (which is much bigger engine and higher insurance group!) :)

im insured with elephant, £750 fully comp in my own name. 20 years old with no no claims and 3 points declared ) :

Put my mum on MY policy as a named driver and it actually DECREASED by around £50!! shes made no claims. thats the 10 month accelerator policy, get 1 years no claims after 10 months,

Try and get a policy in ur own name cos then you can boost that no claims!!!
