As the title says,

Is there anyone on here from Ireland that drives a paseo or cynos?

I've never seen a modified one in Ireland bar my own

there was a 1st gen with a 4efte swap & xracing kit on here a long time ago but haven't seen him in the forums for ages...

:D

phew, i was starting to think i was the only one.... :P

useless things

Posted

hehe, i suppose, but the cupholder in the arm rest is !Removed! useless! at least the two in the center console can hold something ...either way, im gonna classify it a mod cause im cheap, so your 'seo is modded

Posted

modded at last  :D  :D

hehe

surely there must be more 'seos in ireland? i know that place is loaded with starlet gt's and whatnot...should be at least more than just 2 'seos....well, cynos's but same thing :P

Posted

i've seen stacks of em on the roads, prob more gen 1'a than gen 2's but still, loads of them especially in cork for some reason

Posted

really? strange that, i dont think gen 1's were officially sold in the uk

Posted

theyre all imports...

mine was imported from Japan to Ireland & then the UK.

that many imports? hmm...suppose you're lucky though, the el44 5efhe has 115hp to the el54's 110hp :(

Posted

you're confusing hp with torque. the stock 2G seo has 93hp, 110ft/lbs of tq.

EDIT: i remember yours has the f*ing distributor motors, so you share the same 5e powerplant as the usdm 1G. how come we got the shaft????

nah nah, i was talking about the 5efhe's 110hp (cynos beta...basically the japanese 2nd gen)...and i believe the 2nd gen came with 93hp and 96lb.ft....though yeah its strange cause we have a distributor but horsepower is still rated at 93hp here....and i just found out that australian gen 2's also have the distributorless system....and they get jdm cars....hmmm....

oh and scutch, it didnt actually came with my 'seo :P i bought it off of a '94 'seo in america, then just put it in...worth the effort really

I drive a 93 Cynos B. No mods, don't know enough about cars - but would love to learn!!!

I live in Limerick and there are quite a few Cynoses in the Limerick/Clare area, none are visibly modded though.

If you can help with spares/parts and where to get them in Ireland I'd appreciate a reply...

I know the thread is a bit old..but I am the proud owner of a Cynos Juno EL52-4EFE. 98-first registered owner in Ireland-Yipee!.

Still rolling on 13 inch steel wheels. Only 69k kilometres.

Mine had a stoorage bin/armrest but it was just in the way-toook it off and what's below? A cup holder..+2 in the dash and 2 in the back armrests. I replaced the wipers with Bosch-had stock TOYOTA ones fitted.

Jeeez I'm on a modding frenzy...LOL.

Posted

lol, whoaaa boy better slow down before it gets to your head  wow, that is quite a pristine mileage on your cynos...i wish mine could be a later model paseo too...just for the sake of lower mileage :( . and you're lucky, i had to put the cupholders in the dash on my own

On of the Sera club members has started a forum specifically for Irish Sera, Paseo and Cynos owners. http://www.iscpoc.drive.to

Shame about the adds in the middle of the topic but looks like a nice site.
