Help My Car Will Not Start

I bought a 92 Camry about a year ago and never had any problems with it until Friday. I was driving down the road when my car decided it did not want to speed up. I coasted into a parking lot then as soon as I came to a complete stop the car died. It will turn over but it will not start. I had some one tell me it is the ingition control module. I put a screw drive in the spark plug wire, i did not get a spark. I can hear the fuel pump so I don't think it is that. Any suggestions?

It sounds very similar to a problem I had when driving to Brussels where Iblew the EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) Fuse, have you checked the fuses on the car to see if that resolves the problem ?

If I were you, I would take the car to somebody who really know what they're doing. You're supposed to check spark by removing a spark plug, resting it on the engine block where it has ground and having someone turn over the engine while you watch and see. Sticking a screwdriver in there is asking for a nasty shock. I've been there, and if you like to remember what happened after you stuck the thing in there, you might be a little more careful. The other dude is right, check fuses and beyond that, I'd look at the rest of the ignition quite closely. Maybe the distributor cracked. I've never had your problem, but good luck with that.
