Gen6 St Aerial Replacement

Hi all,

My electric aerial snapped at the base and I had to cut the plastic insert with the teeth on it that runs up the inside of the aerial, in order to remove the aerial itself. The motor is still fine - I can hear it attempting to raise the non-existent aerial every time I power-on...

So... I'm looking for a replacement and wondering whether getting another electric aerial is the best way to go, or whether there's another option - perhaps one of those stubby little rubbery things, or something window-mounted.

Assuming I go with a like-for-like replacement, any recommendations on where I should buy from? Is fitting it a possibility for a mechanically-challenged chap such as me?

TIA

Tarby

I think you can get the mast seperately, as long as you haven't cut too much off. I think you need to go directly to Toyota though.

I think "GT4 Booster" has posted about this before, he'll probably be along soon to advise

only a celica one will do if you buy the whole lot,due to the shape of the motorcar. a mast can be bought and fitted at toyota as far as im aware for around £40
