Speakers

Wanted to put some Speakers on my parcel shelf. Tried fitting them, but speaker wire ends in bare wire, and head unit has phono socket. Was told by Halfrauds that this is because it needs an amp. Only other way is to write them into the door Speakers. This means taking the door apart, and will leave a bare wire anyway because of the way the doors are. The wire will also more than likely get snagged on the door every frickin time. Is there ANY way of getting Speakers in the back of a Yaris? With all the problems with this and the head unit, I swear I'm gonna take my **** Yaris and throw it off a cliff :censor: :ffs:

You can tap into the door Speakers, which are configured as rears, from the back of the headunit, you don't need to take the door apart! I have done this and can confirm it is VERY easy if you know what you are doing!

Don't listen to Halfrauds - They are all numpties. Yes you can use an amp for better sound quality and volume, but it's not essential!

Read the How To's mate - It explains everything!

like dicey already pointed out, the door Speakers are considered rear, and dash front, wack some 6x9s on the shelf, run the cabeling down to the headunit and then just get someone who knows a thing or two to wire them up, ive had two sets in the yaris 1st time round the dash Speakers were droped and i just ran the 6x9s and door, this time round i have dash and 6x9s and no door

untill i uprate the rest of the Speakers that is

I've got a new after-market head unit installed...

Is there a guide or step-by-step thingy for putting them in?

heres what i did

run wires from 6*9's through the air vent things back of the lights, and run under the plastics guard bits that run along side door.

now take apart reading the walkthough ehre, takin fascia off etc - not a hard job!

locate block with wires for front dash and front , it says on wires nad im sure there gree, it has markings on wires.

splice your 6*9's to the rear ones - ie ones in door making sure + and - are correct.

and it works a treat, did about 4 month ago

I think it would be easiest to just get an amp!

All you need to do then is run the phonos, remote and the power cable into the boot from the front then hook up the Speakers! No splicing or removing of doors, although its not that hard!

Easy peasy!

I have some amazing 6*9's for sale and amp with all wiring for a very reasonable price if inteerested PM me!

As you have upgraded your HU i would recommend you just upgrade the standard door and dash Speakers and drive them of the HU and add a sub and amp! This is what i have done and can recommend it!It is plenty loud enough for me and i like my music! :D

CB

I'm looking to get a second door speaker wire loom. And then connect my rears to that.

I've bought a green adaptoer loom from toyota thinking that was the one i needed to go from the boot to the head unit but it wasn;t (But still needed).
