Tacky?

Not wanting to advertise or anything, I have seen these and would like to know people's opinion on them before I either look a prat or well, dont!

These are designed to fit over the brake light on the outside of the glass.

Simply peel the backing off and apply to the outside of the window over your high level brake light then when you press the brakes- RAV 4 in the correct logo lights up.

What do you think??????

Not tacky, but I would question the legality of them.

I suspect that anything that distracts the vehicle behind from responding to a brake light (and reading a logo would probably could under that) is frowned on.

But, like a lot of things, folk will get away with it.

I imagine it goes over the high-level brakelight - which is not a legal requirement (as long as you have the standard dual lights on either side).

Personally, I think its a bit tacky - but if you like it..

Umm - saw one last week fitted to a Focus - think it was stainless with "FOCUS" in fancy test - got my vote as tacky ...

The ones I saw were on eBay and were cheaper than his site (same person!?) Not sure if they do a Surf

A couple of folk have Yaris ones - I think they're quite funny - after all the Freelander 3rd light says "Land Rover" as standard (bet that distracts you next time you're behind one )

Have seen chrome ones on the MX5's boot light, if done properly and good quality can look good, guess it depends on the car and quality of fitting...

I don't like the idea of it sticking on the outside of the window.

It would be good if it was a proper plastic insert for the high level lamp fitting itself, with the letters cut into it. Have seen the stick on ones before, and the light still comes through the bit it's supposed to be blocking.

It's personal choice at the end of the day though.

I have got a black 5 door 2004 XT3 and i thought it would look nice but the wife said it would look tacky so i decided not to get one :)
