Cleaning Seats

Mine are looking a bit grubby. Don't think they've ever been properly cleaned. Is there anything I can buy to give them a good clean down? If not, would it be better to take it to the valeters? They'll do the entire car and everything for about £40. Shampoo and clean the seats, engine bay, wash & wax, polish, interior, everything.

Has anyone you know got a portable steam cleaner? My Mum has one - called a "polti" and it could definately be used for steam cleaning car seats I'm sure..

Valeters definitely - they will do a sterling job and you save on good old fashioned elbow grease!

I use Autoglym interior cleaner for my seats, pretty decent stuff like all the Autoglym products!

Is that the one that foams up Ryan? I've got some Autoglym product (it's at my caravan, 35 miles away so can't check!) and it's superb.

When I bought Baby, my 1 litre, there was a white mark on the back of the driver's seat, like dried on ice cream or something. Remember this was a pre-registered car and I was told by dealer "Oh I don't think it's ever had any passengers".

One squirt of the stuff and the mark was gone. Good stuff.
