bit of quick advice, if you do clean your alloys using any acid cleaner ,like wonder wheels, make sure you do it when the wheels are cold, ie in the morning before you drive the car as the heat build up on warm wheels can cause the cleaner to discolour the finnish of the alloy wheel, and eventualy bring the powder coat or paint finish off the wheel

Best thing I find.........and totally safe too.......washing up liquid!!

Only thing is, you have to wash your wheels regularly otherwise the buildup of brake dust etc. gets way too much for it, but I reckon it's your best bet. It seems to cut right through it with a bit of agitation.

Otherwise, I use Autoglym Clean Wheels if it's been a while and there's lots of caked on stuff. I was told by Toyota that they recommend Wonder Wheels though....

Have a squizz at the Car Care Centre link at the top of the page though - very good tips. Otherwise, try http://www.autoglym.co.uk - that site gives you valeting tips using.........you guessed it..........Autoglym products!! But nevertheless, very good site.

Have fun!! :)

One I'd heard (but admittedly have never tried) is to give your wheels a really good clean. Then when they're nice and shiney, give them a polish, and the coat of polish helps keep brake dust and such from taking hold as easily.
