My check engine light remains on because my catalytic converter is old and not working well. I plan to replace it soon. Until then, is there a way to diable the sensor to the check engine light so that I can see if any other problems are triggering the check engine light?

Perhaps you could help us help you by telling us what year, body, engine, model, etc. Corolla you drive, with how many miles, and where you're located. Then we will [hopefully] have advice for you.
