Leak?

Hi everyone,

Due to the hot weather and lots of motorway driving, I've been running the Air Con on full blast. I've noticed that once I've parked up, the car is dripping from the front leaving a puddle of what appears to be water (no odour or colour).

Is this normal?? It lasts about 10 mins after driving and I'm wondering if anyone has the same thing before I get it checked out.

Cheers!

Caz

Yep it's normal. As is with any air-conditioners that people may have at their homes, these have a pipe that leads outside and drips water as well. All part of the coo, ling process ;)

Phew! I thought as much but I asked the other half (Leeky) and he said to check with you fellow Yaris owners as he hadn't seen it before.

Thanks very much! :D

Well I learnt something new today then - although I've never seen my car leak!

If it does then I'll know! lol

As opposed to the 'hey your car has a big scratch on the rear wing' - no thats a plastic guard...

Do you mean that just in front of the rear tyres? Some1 asked my about that - they thought it had been scratched! Mines got white egdes from polishing and its a pain to shift.

Yeah - if you've polished the car they get whiter ...

Why if they had the brains to do that to the rear arches they couldnt have done the lower part of the front bumper on the t-sport?

I looked into wether or not I could buy the plastic sheet and do it myself ... er no it comes in cut peices... hurumph ..

pretty obviuous really...warm air contains moisture...cool it down..it condenses..better the water is extracted..rather than a puddle on your lap!

same reason why air-con is so good in winter too..as it de-humidifies your car.

I belive the pastic protector stip on the rear was put on after the first 6 months after so many complaints...as the rear arch protudes a little and all the $£%$£ thrown off the fornt wheels is thown at it...does look pants though after polishing!
