i have just literally some how mmanaged to smash the glass in my passenger wing mirror. it is hanging off so i am about ot remove the electrical crimps which are holding it on.

Now for the question, is this likely to be an expensive lesson or is the part cheapish, say below £50...m And also does anyone have a refrence for refitting, it looks simpleish but i am bound to forget something upon refitting the new item

Cheers

When this happened to me on an A Class last year it cost about £35 so Mr T's price should be about the same.

If it is held on the same , the trick was to push the motorised bit in at the bottom so that the top of the mirror would poke out.Offer the mirror onto the mount from the bottom of the mirror and then prise the spring on the glass back over the notch at the top of the motorised bit. Use a thin screwdriver or similar for this.

Hope this helps.

So not too bad after all after my inital shock :)
