Phase 1 On A 53 Plate?

Hi All,

Needed to go get Petrol today so I went to the Blue to find parked, right infront of her was a 53 Plate Phase 1 Yaris..

I always thought that Phase 1's only went up to the 03 style? Was a bit of a shock to see another Yaris here as apart from Yves' T-Sport there are never any parked down this road!

Also went to Lakeside today and there were Yarii everywhere! All different colours, P1's and P2's and a Verso - it was like a Yarii invasion

It was probably one left over from the p1s when the p2s came out, just a guess anyway

But I thought they couldnt register old models after a face-lifted model is released? Unless similar to pre-regging a car, you can also post-reg it?

I see it all the time with other car models, the golf for example I still see the MK4 golfs on 54/05 reg plates even though the MK5 has been out well over a year, there just left overs, some people specifically request the older shape, much cheaper that way.

yep just a later reg (cheeper car). nothing special.

I never realised that - dunno what spec this one was - it was all colour coded tho and had alloys on - didnt actually notice the alloy design tho..possibly could've been a CDX? No spoiler tho so not an SR..

Oh also did spot that it had a "trade sales - slough" number plate on it :D
