Hi,

After recently buyiny my MR 2 i decided it would be a good idea to do a small service on her.

I have the usual stuff:-

Oil

Oil Filter

Air Filter

Spark Plugs

What tools will i need (including sizes) in paritcular i am refering to the sump plug.

IS it fairly easy to get to and work on ? I used to own a 106 rallye which was a really easy to work on for servicing.

The small orange oil light keeps coming on intermitantly its the onw with the "flames" underneath it, so i assuming its telling me the oil is too hot.

Thanks for any help, sorry if its in the wrong section but i wanted a few replies as i need to change these things before my long drive to London tomorrow

Scott :)

I think spark plugs are 17mm (but might require deep reach socket / SP Tool)

Oil Filter might require a remover chain to get it off

Sump plug.......huummm, i cant remember, but they are norm a socket / alan key

Or just stab a screwdriver through it, and twist it of.......not pretty, but it works !:thumbsup:

Be carfeul when changing the filter, it's located just under the heat shield which will be v hot after running the engine to heat the oil up...

It's very easy to burn yourself on it when taking the filter off....

Depends on the revision, rev3+ it's and the bottom of the engine.

Good advice for the rev1-2 though :)
