Hi all,

When I stop the engine and take the key out of the ignition in my gen 6 Celica ST, I often hear a series of beeps. It's the same every time: three groups of four notes, each group being high-low-high-low. Is this some kind of diagnostic message?

I can't tell exactly where it's coming from, and it might even be the stereo, which is a Sony DAC-5000 (or something like that). Is that the standard model for an ST, or did a previous owner fit it?

most likely the stereo take out the face plate oof it befors switching off ignition and see if that stops it
