Rev 2 Or Rev3?

Recommended Posts

ok so i know the rev 3 has better equiptment and a lsd as standard? but it is just at the very peak of my budget whilst there are a good choice of rev 2s in my budget. but i see there is a differnece standard of 20bhp between the 2 and 3 , (aparently theres more) and 0.5 quicker to 60 for the rev 3. what im asking here is basicly in the long term can the rev2 be tuned as quick as the rev 3 FOR THE SAME MONEY or will it always be a bit down on power? (i know 225 bhp standard isnt exactly slow but if im paying high insurance for it id rather have the best,)

thanks in advance.

if you're going big power costs will be the same, rev 3 easier to get to 300bhp but if you want above that the costs are pretty much the same

not planning on over 300, 300 is a nice round figure, just wondered if the difference between the 2 engines was worth the higher price?

rev3 will be easier as it run's a ct20 rather than the ct26. in some cases it'll probably work out the same money wise to buy a rev3 than buying a rev2 and replacing the turbo.

From what i recall the rev3 needs a filter, zorst, chip, mbc to see 300bhp(@fly).

The guru's will correct me if i'm wrong :D

If i could afford a rev3 i'd go for it  IMO

just mi 2p

I'd also go rev 3 for the same reasons as above, plus the car looks much nicer with the revised lights and spoiler....

I had a mildly modded Gen II before my near stock Gen III....there was a WORLD of difference between them, IMO I'd never get a Gen II again.
