He can't even spell

I would say tacky could be the wrong word.

I have de-badged my avensis because:

1. I know its an avensis, and so should anyone else looking at it. I they don't well tough. :P

2. The toyota logo Badge says it all! Why tell people its a toyota and what specification? B)

3. It makes the car polishing a much easier task.

No, I think tacky is the wrong word. What will you fit next AVENSIS down the side of the car and possibly get a windscreen sunstrip with AVENSIS on it!!

I know I drive a quality car, if they don't know what it is, LET THEM WONDER!!

And I thought people debadged their cars because they bought a poverty spec and were a bit embarassed by it. Are there any BMW 316s still with their badges?

Apparantly this is the latest 'stick on accesory' (they are done for all models of cars) to be plastered across eBay.

POVERTY MODEL!! MY A*$E!!

Cheek!! If you know anything about the Toyota Avensis you should be able to tell what it is, for example wheels differ from T3-S to T3-X, and again with a T4 to T-Spirit , then there are front foglights and interior. Do BMW 's say its a BMW on later models? Apart from the distintive Badge, I think they just show model type, X5, Touring, etc. or M5.

My point is that you know its a toyota avensis, why point out the obvious! The specification Badge is up for debate, but like a said it looks better nude and is easier to polish! If you are concerned about what you drive, you can buy a replacement Badge for your spec car that covers all models, P*NIS EXTENSION!!!(In chrome of course!)

Cheers,

Nick............

Have to agree Nick, guy at work bought 316, bedadged it, added M3 kit including wheels and lowering and left engine alone. He probably had to change his trouser size also :D

Woo! this one's touched a nerve I think.

I had every intention of removing the D4d Badge from above the side repeaters cos I think they looks tacky, but when car arrived, Toyota had done it for me, and placed a single one under the Avensis Badge, all in chrome, with T3-x beneath. I'm still debating whether to totally bedadge(sic) or not. I may leave it a while cos I ain't seen another one the same as mine yet. (or in my colour, which is nice) :P

  • 2 weeks later...

Factory stuck one Badge to many on mine, it has 2.4 on each side under the indicator lights and at the back on right hand side it has Avensis then under that 2.4 and under that T-Spirit.
