I got woken up by thunder at 6:55am - not all bad, seeing as I usually get up only 20 mins later than that anyways.

Had lightening and torrential rain in the last 2 miles of my 8 miles commute to work this morning. Drains blocked, roads being flooded, even after only 15mins or so of heavy rain.

It's stopped now though. Just hope that's it for the day!

We went out last night for a beer on the Vespa, came home about 10 across the top of the New Forest seeing fork lightning in the distance... aircooled engines seem to go so much better before a storm too so we were flying along... then we hit the rain  Was very impressive though.

I'm off to car show in Mini Moke on Sunday, however if it rains will have to go in Land Rover (as moke has no side protection at all ...and I'm a wimp!)

Ahhhh the air smells sweet, with the occasional hint of musk (that'll be the Mars factory and excrement farm down the road).

The sky has a lovely gray aura, with a tinge of yellow.

The architecture makes fantastic use of a material called concrete.

The locals are some of the most friendly bunch of 12 year old mothers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and their children are adorable.

I miss Slough...

Storm's been and gone in Gosport, I'll be able to go down to the beach after work and see how many more Naval ships have turned up for Trafalgar 200!
