Tarago And Previa

Hi,

I'm thinking of taking my 1995 Tarago Getaway II from Australia back to the UK with me. I just have a couple of things I need to get clear.

1) A Tarago IS a Previa right?

2) What is the equivalent of a Getaway II? Privilege Insurance have only heard of the GL, GX and GS models. What should I tell them?

Thanks a lot for your help. Any other advice on importing a car from Oz to the UK would be appreciated too.

Hi Fred,

I believe that the Tarago is not a Previa, but a Townace/Masterace/Hiace type. I had a Masterace for 8yrs here in the UK and the owner's handbook which came with it was for an Ausie Tarago.

Several UK companies will insure these - look on the Townace.com website - or try TESCO's online, where Townace is listed.
