That looks pretty cool.

I have a friend who does all the stereo fitting stuff, so I'll go see him tomorrow, and see what else there is I can do - but I have to say, that is looking pretty good!

Neat solution! How did you manage to route the cable to there?

Thanks,

David.

Hi,

If I remember correctly these are the basic steps of how I did it - its hard to explain without pictures.... If I get time this weekend I guess I could write a proper guide up.

To route the wire to the ipod through the dash from the upper armrest section you have to:

1. Remove the two screws either side of the upper hinge, drill a hole where the wire will come out - and feed the wire though this hole.

2. Remove the two screws either side of the lower hinge and drill a hole so the cable can get through to the gap that goes into the centre console.

3. Feed this cable through up to where the main dash is - near the centre flip down compartment - I had to take the whole bottom centre console out to do this easily. I also taped the wire down so theres no chance of the wire getting tangled with the gearbox/handbrake!

Now you need to connect the wire from the ipod to the stereo - there was a guide somewhere on here to replace the stereo - I just followed this but instead of replacing the stereo I had to connect the other half of the ipod kit to the stereo (Like connecting a CD Changer) then connect the stereo end to the ipod end.

Then of course you just put everything back together.

I know this might sound like a complete nightmare to do but it wasn't in reality and took me less than an hour to complete.

* This is only a rough guide so please dont sue me if you wreck your car!

Hope this helps

John

Might be worth giving them a ring as mine wasn't listed till I asked them if it would work.
